Norwich Sumo Salad branch to enter liquidation
The Norwich branch of Sumo Salad was forced to close last Saturday only three months after opening, citing cash flow problems resulting from the poor summer weather affecting sales and also initial problems with the UK master franchiser regarding portion sizes and pricing.
Six employees were made redundant and Parker Andrews are assisting those staff with their claims from the Government redundancy fund.
The company is expected to enter Liquidation shortly.
The company’s own difficulties were compounded when the UK master franchise went into Administration itself on 29 June.
Parker Andrews are  liaising with the Administrators of the master franchise although there is no return expected to creditors of the Norwich store.
Anybody wishing to express in taking over the company’s shop and equipment (but not the trading name) are urged to contact Parker Andrews on 0800 6127593.
